Think Pink-Wine of the Week

March 11, 2006. 12 noon. Approximately 65 degrees. Sitting on the terrace enjoying a refreshing glass of Sauvion Rose d'Anjou from the Loire Valley. This is an unpretentious wine. Only 9 bucks a bottle. Light salmon color. Sweet cherry and strawberry aromas. Zingy and crisp on the palate with strawberry, citrus fruit, and a clean, lingering finish. Slightly off-dry, but no where near a soda-pop-like White Zin from Cali. A perfect hurry-up-and-get-here spring apéritif.
