Popped the cork on a bottle of 2003 Becker Vineyards Claret this evening. Quite a shocker!
Amazing aromas of raspberries, blackberries and cassis. Smooth and full on the palate with well integrated oak and tannins. A hint of chocolate on the finish. The 2003 Claret is a blend of the five traditional Bordeaux varieties: Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Matured in French and American Oak.
Becker Vineyards is located in the Texas Hill Country near Fredericksburg.
